The 2018 Morey-Saint-Denis Village is showing well in bottle, mingling notions of ripe blackberries, exotic spices, orange rind and sweet soil tones in an inviting bouquet. Medium to full-bodied, lively and fleshy, with fine depth at the core and youthful back-end grip, it should evolve very nicely in the cellar.

The 2018 Morey-Saint-Denis Village is a cuvée that I tasted just after racking at the domaine so I deferred scoring. Now in bottle, it has a juicy crushed strawberry and cranberry bouquet with light incense aromas. The palate is smooth on the entry. Plenty of brambly red fruit is laced with sage and a pinch of sea salt. The stems impart a pleasant tertiary note on the finish that becomes spicier with time. - Neal Martin

The 2018 Morey-Saint-Denis Village features bold blackberry and bilberry aromas that convey an attractive sense of energy. The palate has a pastille-like purity on the entry, fine acidity and a nicely structured, slightly ferrous finish. Enjoy over the next four or five years.
