Notes of spicy berry fruit, petals and orange rind introduce the 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Village, a medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated and seamless wine framed by lively acids and powdery tannins.

The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has a tight nose, a little gawky at the moment, just a very slight herbal note underneath the red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, slightly dry tannins, coalescing towards the Morey-like finish that has just a hint of black olive on the aftertaste. Maybe this cuvée is one where I was expecting a little more.
