Bright ruby-red. Pungent, high-pitched aromas of blueberry, violet, cocoa powder and licorice. Seamless and thick but youthfully bound-up today thanks very good energy and underlying minerality. Pure, juicy, intense wine with firm tannins and excellent potential. I'd wait five years for more flesh and nuance. I may be underrating this. Jean-Philippe Janoueix is a rare owner/winemaker who has all five vowels in his last name.

An absolutely stunning wine from the Janoueix family, this dense, full-bodied, wonderfully floral and blueberry/blackberry-scented wine shows some toasty vanillin, but then hits the palate with a full-bodied thunder and cascade of glycerin and fruit in its luscious personality. Captivating and seductive, thick, juicy, full-bodied and pure, this is a beautiful St.-Emilion fruit bomb to drink over the next 10-15 years.
This wine has freshness and vibrancy with wonderful layers of flavours. This is a medium bodied wine with good depth and finish -- its approachability will allow the wine to be enjoyed in its youth as well as with time in bottle. The 2010 was more successful vintage for La Confession than their 2009 vintage. It has a fairly long finish with notes of spices and dark berries. asianpalate.com
