The 2015 Pommard Les Tavannes has a rather opulent bouquet with vivid morello cherry mixed with crushed strawberry scents, more blue fruit emerging with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, well-judged acidity, and clean and pure crushed strawberry and cherry fruit towards the caressing finish. This is well made and likely to be downright lovely from soon after bottling.

(the first "normal" crop for these vines following a succession of hail vintages): Medium red. Very reserved aromas of medicinal black cherry and licorice. Intensely flavored and distinctly cool in style, but with good density to its tightly wound black cherry, red berry and menthol flavors. Finishes with a subtle touch of sweetness and firm tannins. "But the 2014 and 2013 versions were much more tannic," noted Méo.
