This is weightier and sweeter than the Carruades on the nose, with a hint of castor oil on the nose. Some extract here, and some muscle. Joss Fowler, FINE+RARE, April 2015.

The 2014 Duhart-Milon has a refined bouquet with dark berry fruit, cedar and light graphite scents that gradually unfold in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with sapid blackberry and bilberry notes. It's estuarine in style with a stocky and yet charming finish. This is a quietly impressive Pauillac. Tasted blind at the Southwold 10-Year-On tasting.

Tasted blind. Deep garnet. Dark fruit and a touch of black olives. Chewy, savoury, smoothly textured. Black, dark-hearted and finely textured. Nicely Pauillac. (JH)

55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot. Tasted blind. Blackish crimson. Something very slightly rank about the oak here? Mid weight and some sweetness. One of the most diffuse of these Pauillac 2014s. Dry finish. (JR)
