2017 Marchand-Tawse Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru

The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru is 100% whole cluster fruit raised in 50% new oak (two barrels produced). It has a generous bouquet of cranberry, wild strawberry and hints of Seville orange marmalade, a vein of crushed stone tucked underneath. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, firm grip and good structure, the whole bunches influence lending edginess and earthiness toward the finish. It will require three to five years in bottle, but has good potential.
