Shimmering violet. Ripe dark berries, cured tobacco and candied flowers on the nose, plus a toasty oak nuance that builds in the glass. Sappy and penetrating on the palate, offering intense cherry-vanilla and black currant flavors accented by a peppery note. Concentrated but lithe as well, showing impressive finishing power, building spiciness and slowly developing tannins.

Cigar box, vanilla, sage and bay leaf notes may be found on the nose of the 2015 Art Series Cabernet Sauvignon. It's intensely flavored, medium to full-bodied and firmly structured but ripe, with fine-grained tannins and a long, mouthwatering finish.

Pale crimson. Elegant in an Australian context but arguably just a little skinny. OK, it’s not that expensive but I think I’d get a little more nuance and depth for the money from Bordeaux. Just a little scrawny on the end. (JR)
