The 2014 Pinot Noir (aged 18 months in 50% new French oak) offers a classy, seamless and elegant profile to go with textbook Pinot Noir notes of black cherries, smoke, forest floor, and peppery herbs. This cuvée sees a touch of whole clusters in the ferment but they’re beautifully integrated. It’s drinking nicely today yet I see no reason it won’t continue evolving nicely for at least 7-8 years.

Lightish crimson. Sweetly fragrant, gentle rather than overly sweet. Just a hint of spice. A little bit hard on the palate. The texture is fine but the flavour is very slightly bitter on the aftertaste Very long. (JH)

Lively crimson. Real fan of flavours on the nose – unusual in this context. Very bright Marlborough signature on the palate – another wine that really succeeds within the Marlborough idiom. Very slight coffee note on the end. But long and impressive. (JR)

Medium ruby-purple colored, the 2014 Pinot Noir offers a great core of ripe mulberries, black cherries and black raspberry notes with hints of garrigue, lavender and roses. The soft, satiny, medium-bodied palate offers mouth-filling berry flavors, finishing long and perfumed.
