A soft, juicy red, the 2012 Echo de Lynch-Bages is a pretty wine to drink over the next handful of years, while the fruit remains vibrant. Sweet red plum, dried flowers and menthol open nicely, with a hint of over-ripe fruit that lingers on the finish. The blend is 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.

The second wine of Lynch-Bages, the 2012 Echo is a light to medium-bodied, slightly one-dimensional style of wine with ripe blackcurrant and cherry fruit. Ch. Lynch-Bages is one of the largest and best properties in Pauillac, in the Médoc. While officially classified as a Fifth Growth estate, it regularly competes with the First and Second Growths when it comes to quality and ageability.
