Morlet's 2014 Pinot Noir Coteaux Nobles is dark, vibrant and polished. The flavors are wonderfully nuanced. In 2014, the Coteaux Nobles offers its typically profile of dark red stone fruit and spices, but with an extra kick of delineation and vibrancy. Another year or so in bottle will only help the youthful tannins to soften.

Morlet has a Midas touch when it comes to Pinot Noir. His 2014 Pinot Noir Coteaux Nobles, like the other Pinots, comes from the Ft. Ross-Seaview AVA. These are all 100% destemmed and given 5-7 day cold prefermentation macerations. The results are wonderfully fragrant, velvety and complex Burgundian-style Pinots. The 2014 Pinot Noir Coteaux Nobles, from a Vosne-Romanée clone, exhibits floral forest floor notes, wonderful sweet red and black cherries, a hint of raspberries, violets, good acidity and a medium to full-bodied, fleshy mouthfeel. Drink now-2030.
