Fully mature, with a charming, enjoyable style, the 2011 Château Lamothe-Bergeron is medium-bodied and has a light, elegant texture, resolved tannins, and a good finish. It shows the slightly more firm, angular style of the vintage yet is certainly enjoyable.

58% Merlot, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot. Quite intense and neat on the nose with, unusually, some complexity. Round and with a light tannic charge but without too much acidity. Pleasant early drinking. (JR)

A little lean but some good berry and sweet tobacco character. Medium body, with medium chewy tannins and a juicy finish. James Suckling, jamessuckling.com
