Loads of jammy blackberries, blueberries, candied orange, and violet notes emerge from the 2018 True Vineyard Immigrant. Another beautiful, medium to full-bodied, elegant wine, I love its overall balance as well as its purity of fruit, and while it's approachable today, it's going to benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and keep for 20 years or more. The blend is 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, and 31% Cabernet Franc.

The 2018 Immigrant True Vineyard is a blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot and 18% Cabernet Franc, all co-fermented, with Merlot and Franc dictating the harvest schedule. Inky, aromatically expressive and deeply textured, the Immigrant is stunning in every way. The blend of varieties and combination of fruit from the lower section (where the terrain is composed of red, rocky soils) and the upper section (which is more bedrock) yields a vibrant, dramatic wine endowed with tons of character.
Composed of 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, the 2018 True Vineyard Immigrant sports a deep garnet-purple color. It needs a little coaxing to wake up to a somewhat smudged nose of blueberry compote, stewed plums, wilted roses and blackberry preserves with touches of menthol and dark chocolate. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a firm, chewy texture supporting the juicy black fruits with plenty of freshness. It finishes with nice length, if just a little rustic. 325 cases were made.
