Good green-tinged yellow color. Very rich but reticent aromas of wet stone, baked bread and vanilla. Then sweet and fat in the mouth, although the citrus and stone fruit flavors are nicely firmed and brightened by captivating stony minerality. At once broad and juicy, this rich wine really stains the palate on the back end. I'd wait a year or so before popping the cork.

Pear and stone aromas. Dense and fat but light on its feet, thanks to excellent acidity and a powerful mineral underpinning. The flavors of lemon, lime, flowers and crushed stone convey an impression of energy rare for the vintage. This boasts impressive power and length. Fontaine harvested this cru first in 2006, followed by his Caillerets.
