Thick and richly crimson. Overdone nose – lack of fresh fruit in the middle. Dry finish. Hard work! TCA? (JR)

Score 89/100 · Drink 2004-2016, Robert Parker, Jun 2004

This property appears to be emerging from a long, disappointing period. The 16-acre vineyard, ideally situated between Trotanoy and Latour a Pomerol, is planted in sandy/gravel soils with 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. A deep plum/purple color is accompanied by a perfume of sweet figs, mincemeat, spice box, and cherry cola. Nicely textured and fleshy, with low acidity, soft tannin, and a plump, heady finish, it should drink well for 10-12 years.
