Good full deep red. Musky dark raspberry and a whiff of smoked meat on the nose. Rich, dense and supple, with berry fruit complicated by leather and game. A fairly wild wine in this 2005 collection, with its fruit currently in the background. Finishes with substantial, broad tannins that call for five years of aging. Today I don't find the perfume displayed a year ago by a barrel sample, but this wine may be going through an awkward stage.

Dense, true, lively nose. Full of frank fruit and no artifice. A very good whole that’s well balanced and constituted. Good fruit/tannin/acid balance. (JR)

Good deep red. Perfumed aromas of cherry, blueberry, flowers and minerals; very Vosne in style. Sweet, silky and light on its feet, with lovely spicy lift to its dark fruit flavors. Finishes with dusty tannins and superb persistence.
