Mid crimson. Slightly raw but very lively raspberry fruit. Quite a bit of acidity. Sweet and very charming and floral on the nose. Already very charming with masses of seductive fruit. Neat tannins but really quite opulent and gorgeous. Great charm without being too sweet. (JR)

Bright medium red. Blacker fruits on the nose than the premier cru, lifted by licorice, violet, minerals and pepper. The palate offers less flesh but more lift, with its minerality serving to intensify the fruit and floral flavors. Finishes broad and savory, with sweet tannins and solid underlying structure. Should make a lovely wine.
