Moderately saturated medium red. Cherry, spices, mint and menthol on the nose. Silky on entry, the pure and precise in the middle, with excellent cut to the red fruit and mineral flavors. A lovely Volnay that offers enticing fruit and excellent inner-mouth energy. Finishes long and clean, with suave tannins. An excellent showing.
Bright crimson. Very rich and velvety and hedonistic on the nose. Great balance but lots tucked in there for the future. (JR)
Good full red. Ripe, fruit-driven aromas of black cherry and violet. Sweet and creamy but at the same time juicy and firmly built. There's an enticing chocolatey ripeness to the lingering finish of this structured wine.
