Good full red. Raspberry, red cherry and underbrush on the expressive nose. Fat and sweet in the mouth, with a suggestion of crystallized fruits. A bit more solid and heavy than the Echezeaux. The 2004 grand crus finished their alcoholic fermentations in barrel, noted winemaker Philippe Prost.

Lightweight for a Grand Cru, though there’s some agreeable liquorice here. Not sure this can be worth the price, but it’s certainly competently made. (JR)
