Good deep red. Expressive aromas of wild red fruits and smoked meat. Sweet, supple and seriously rich; this already gives a fleshier impression than even the crus in 2006. Finishes with ripe tannins and lovely lingering sweetness. This cuvee has turned out very well.

Thick and sweet and attention-grabbing, perhaps lacking a slight element of purity, though the acidity is notable. Quite pinched tannins on the finish. Very dry. (JR)

Good red-ruby. Wild dark berries, smoke, meat, coffee and some chocolatey oak on the nose. Supple, sweet and expressive, with juicy acidity giving shape to the blackberry and game flavors. Finishes slightly dry-edged, with a minty nuance. A blockage of maturity in some parcels slowed the ripening process, noted Serafin, who chaptalized this cuvee a bit.
