Cask sample. Deep, dark, rich and enveloping. A fine Côte de Nuits-Villages which delivers way above the appellation (but it should do at this price). Spicy dark-berry fruit. Density and concentration on the palate. Without knowing what this was, in a blind tasting I could place this at a much higher level. (AWH)
