Medium red with a palish rim. Pungent aromas of red berries, stone and flowers. Full, sweet and powerful, conveying an impression of strong extract. Very rich but very young wine with a serious underlying mineral spine.

Bright medium red. Medicinal black cherry, licorice and a stony element on the nose. Large-scaled, powerful and penetrating, with a sappy small-berry intensity and an exhilarating balance of sweetness and acidity. Finishes with crushed stone and saline nuances and outstanding lift. Wonderfully sappy Corton from what Hervet described as a normal yield of about 40 hectoliters per hectare.

Solid and sweet and a bit dry and stolid and standard issue. Rather bitter on the finish. (JR)
