2017 Mayer - Pinot Noir Close Planted

A blend of a whole bunch fermentation and de-stemmed ferments from the Bloody Hill (lower, whole bunch) and upper (upper, de-stemmed) plots at the estate. Different clones, too. The whole bunch is used to take the wine away from the sweet-fruit zone. This has a plump, plush and fleshy structure. Gently smoky with a long wrap of tannins into the finish. Grainy, deep and dense with great flavor. Drink now or hold.
