2014 Domaine des Roches Neuves Saumur-Champigny Les Memoires

The 2014 Les Mémoires is a dark crimson colored and very intense, but also pure and complex Cabernet Franc from more than 100-year-old vines. The wine is deep, pure, meaty and spicy, with hints of lime zests and crushed stone aromas on the nose. Full-bodied, super precise and elegant, it has purity, a silky texture and great finesse, as well as concentration and power. This is a very complex, dense and well-structured red with fine tannins and a tension-filled, though still young finish. Again, this is a stunning wine and one of the finest Cabernet Francs on planet wine.
