Tasted blind. Deep crimson. Ripe and open, slightly evolved, complex aromas of bottle age even now, leathery on the palate, too, but pleasurable in that spicy, slightly rustic way. Juicy, tannins really quite resolved. (JH)

Darker currants, ripe cherries, saddle leather, cedar pencil, and smoked tobacco notes all emerge from the 2020 Château Lynch-Moussas, a medium-bodied Pauillac offering ripe, supple tannins, terrific overall balance, integrated oak, and outstanding length. A charming, balanced, incredibly satisfying 2020, it will evolve nicely for 15-20 years.

The 2020 Lynch-Moussas has quite an intense bouquet with a distinct marine/estuarine scent filtering through the black fruit, well-defined with hints of cedar and tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, purer than the vintages of old, more finessed with a harmonious, quite mineral-driven finish that is very satisfying. This might deserve a higher score down the line - a very classy Pauillac.
