The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Shifflett Ranch is an exotic, heady wine. Lavender, rose petal mint and spice give the 2019 its captivating aromatics. Dense and layered in the glass, with tons of energy, the 2019 is dark, savory and silky, all at the same time. This Cabernet on St. George rootstock yields a compelling and incredibly distinctive wine. I loved it.

More pure blue fruits, leather, crushed stone and even a hint of iron emerge from the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Shifflett Ranch, a full-bodied, fresh, pure, balanced beauty that's all Clone 7 Cabernet from vines planted in 1994. It shows more opulence and texture with air, has a notable sense of purity and freshness, and a great finish. I finished my note with "Smoking good!"
