Pale, bright yellow. Compelling soil-driven aromas of silex, lavender and oyster shell minerality. Broad and pliant but very dry, with a pronounced wet and crushed stone character and terrific intensity. For all its minerality, this does not come across as particularly austere. Finishes chewy, bracing and long, with an impression of tightly coiled energy. An infant today and in need of at least six or seven years or patience. I would not be at all surprised if this eventually merited a 95-point rating. Wilson Daniels, St. Helena CA)

Bright yellow-green. Vibrant nose melds crushed stone, iodiney minerality, flowers, mint and spices. Compellingly dense and solid without being heavy. Thick with extract but almost magically weightless, with superb energy and definition to its flavors of lemon, lime and crushed stone. Wonderfully dense wine finishing with powerful wet stone minerality. The most impressive of these young 2008s but the Preuses may be even more aromatic and vibrant.
