The Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Prince of Hearts Paradise Hills Vineyard is another juicy, delicious wine from this estate, and at the price, it certainly represents value. Giving up plenty of black fruits, smoked earth, chocolate, and leafy herbs as well as a hint of new leather, it hits the palate with beautiful purity of fruit, medium to full body, nicely integrated acidity, and a clean, classy style that's going to drink beautifully for 10-15 years.

Blankiet's entry-level Prince of Hearts is gorgeous in 2017. Silky, perfumed and light on its feet, Prince of Hearts is a wine of understatement and nuance more than anything else. Sweet floral and spice notes add brightness and lift to a core of sweet red berry fruit. I would prefer to drink it over the next decade or so.
