Dark ruby. Very light nose. Dusty and sweet palate without anything to draw these elements together. Hot. Falling apart. (JR)

The 1998 Coudoulet rouge is dominated by the warmth and glycerin of the Grenache component. A dark ruby/purple color is followed by a jammy, sweet nose of black fruits, pepper, and spice. In the mouth, cherry jam emerges, along with a chewy, long finish. This 1998 will benefit from another 1-2 years of cellaring, and should keep for 12-15 years.
