Vivid ruby. Sexy red berries and cherry on the nose, accented by a hint of vanilla that comes up with air. Silky in texture and fresh, offering black raspberry flavors and mounting spiciness. Shows no rough edges and finishes with lingering spiciness and good clarity. This drinks well now.

Bright purple. Highly fragrant bouquet of spicy red berries, lavender, anise and smoky minerals. The red fruits repeat on the palate and are joined by deeper blackberry and bitter cherry qualities, along with good spicy lift. This elegant, precise midweight finishes with brisk notes of red berry skin and white pepper.

Bright purplish crimson. Fresh, vigorous nose. Lots of fruit though not that much structure. Easy, frank and fruity. No complexity though. Slightly pinched finish. (JR)
