The 2016 Brut Rosé has a pale to medium salmon-pink color and is a blend of 64% Pinot Noir and 36% Chardonnay. It has open, inviting aromas of melon, red berries, citrus peel and spices. The medium bodied-palate offers intense, berry-laced flavors with rounded, creamy mousse, and it finishes long and uplifted. 15,150 cases produced.

Score 15.5/20 · Drink 2019-2020, Tamlyn Currin, jancisrobinson.com, Oct 2019

64% Pinot Noir, 36% Chardonnay. 44% Sonoma, 30% Napa, 20% Mendocino, 6% Marin. Picked 4 August to 10 September. 24% barrel fermentation. TA: 8.3 g/l, pH 3.17, RS 9.2 g/l. Two years on lees. Released 1 December 2018. Clear bottle and medium pink. Fruity birthday-party nose, like watermelon daiquiri and raspberry jelly/Jell-O. The residual sugar becomes very prominent as the wine warms, so take care to drink very cold. Turkish delight with some pretty sharp grapefruit juice splashed on top. Not sophisticated or long enough for the price tag. (TC)
