From very slightly older plantings on stonier ground. 20% whole bunch, 20% new oak. Very pale, shaded garnet. Slightly vegy nose that’s appealingly lifted. Sweet palate entry but some delicacy. Just a little cough-medicine flavour on the end. (JR)

Plenty of spice and modern-leaning, reductive complexity here, as well as bright red cherries, blueberries, cassis and violets. The palate has a fleshy, supple and attractively fresh red-cherry and blueberry core. Mouth-filling, flavorful and vividly fresh at the finish. Drink over the next six years. Screw cap.

There's a sense of richness here, caressing the midpalate, but always remaining elegant. It fills the mouth with a silken core of dense blue and red fruit. Savory tannin provides a corset that hugs the fleshy middle, while a thread of acidity and (30%) whole-bunch-derived line and spice keep this wine going from start to finish. A background note of oak-derived vanillins doesn’t get in the way of the pure blueberry, violets and pine needles.
