Notably pale crimson/ruby with a very pale rim. Fresh, frank with a hint of rose petals and stalkiness but low key on the nose. Notable acidity and transparency – real zest, even a little carbon dioxide. Very clean and brisk but without that much length. Attention! Stylistic alert. This is very light, ie true to the vintage character. 13% (JR)

Light ruby. Powerful, intense nose with lovely balance and sprightly build. Why can’t everyone manage this? There is substance and stuffing but the tannins and the acidity are subordinate to the fruit. Lots there. Great stuff and it’s only a village wine! Long and revitalising. Truly a pleasure to taste. Good full red. Aromas of mocha and pepper. Nicely concentrated and brisk, with dark fruit, spice and underbrush flavors offering good cut. Finishes with freshness and grip.
