A terrific wine from a challenging vintage, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard The Three Kings offers up a gorgeous nose of ripe cassis and black raspberry fruits as well as hints of olive, iron, and tobacco. It cuts a more focused swath across the palate than prior vintages but has solid mid-palate density, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It’s a beauty to enjoy over the coming 15 years.

The 2020 vintage imposed a pretty low ceiling as to what was possible, even for the most diligent, quality-minded producers.
