Good full medium red. Captivating nose offers red fruits, flowers and minerals. Broad and full without showing any heaviness--and more savory than sweet--but utterly young now and in need of at least eight years of cellaring to fill in. Seriously rich in extract, with black cherry and spice flavors emerging and gaining sweetness with air. Finishes firmly tannic, tactile and very long.

Good dark red. Slightly high-toned but youthfully subdued aromas of cherry, leather and earth. Juicy, tight and nicely delineated, with a restrained sweetness to the cherry, mocha, spice, saline and mineral flavors. Not a creamy style; in fact, this dense, firmly structured grand cru will need at least a few years in bottle to expand.
