Colour dark ruby. Very gamey/animal on the nose. Quite light compared with Raymond Roure. Almost dangerous lift. Very ‘old fashioned’ winemaking – were those barrels all 100% clean? Of its type (super-traditional) this is satisfying, but no-one should expect a squeaky clean Crozes here. (JR)
