The 2014 Prince of Hearts (63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) is a cuvée of 1,450 cases. This is a sort of second wine, soft, lush, and seductive, with plenty of coffee bean, black and red currant, cherry, some background oak, low acidity, and a pleasant, round, juicy, rather classic 2014 personality. Drink it over the next 10-12 years.

The 2014 Prince of Hearts is fabulous. Soft, open-knit and expressive, the Prince of Hearts is one of the more gracious wines readers will find in this vintage. Expressive floral and red-toned fruit notes give the 2014 its feminine, sensual personality. This is one of the finest Napa Valley wines readers will find in its price range.
The 2014 Prince of Hearts has aged impeccably, especially considering this was Blankiet's entry-level wine at the time. Bright in color and fresh, the 2014 is a delight. Crushed flowers, sweet red-toned fruit, orange peel, spice and cedar are all beautifully laced together. At ten years of age, the 2014 remains youthful and vibrant. Readers who still own it should be delighted. What a pretty wine this is.
