Full bottle 1,364 g. Ambient-yeast fermentation. Matured 12 months in 40% new French oak, remainder neutral.  Medium yellowy gold with just a hint of green. Powdery floral notes, citrus and sweet toasty oak on the nose. Creamy texture with a buttered-popcorn flavour and enough acid to balance. Lingering appley sweet finish. Very traditional California-style oaked Chardonnay. (SCJ)

Silky, this textural chardonnay has immense internal energy, showing lanolin, honeycomb, savory notes and persimmon. Gently toasty oak spices lend layered complexity, and the finish fans out with minerals and sunny citrus. Terrific balance of broadness and verve. Drink or hold.

Coming from the Pisoni and Soberanes vineyards, the 2023 Chardonnay Estate Cuvée reveals classic aromas of buttered apple, spice, and sappy, floral, and honeyed, nutty nuances. Medium-bodied and round on the palate, it has a layered mouthfeel, integrated acidity, and a clean, lengthy finish. Drink over the coming 4-6 years.
