2022 Domaine de l'Arlot Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru

Cask sample. Lifted, aromatic and very pure in character on the nose. So perfumed. Red-berry fruit with a cooling, almost minty, edge. Not a blockbuster, this more than makes up for it with focus and precision. The fruit is perfectly ripe (but not at all overripe). Acidity is a great counterfoil. I tend to think of Domaine de l'Arlot as a Nuits-St-Georges producer but this shows a great extra string to their bow. (AWH)
