The second rendition of this cuvée to date is the 2018 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Noirots, a wine that comes from a small parcel of vines that are more than 60 years old, formerly blended into the domaine's Chambolle-Musigny Village. Revealing aromas of cherries, cassis and raspberries framed by rich soil tones and hints of burning embers, it's a medium to full-bodied, fine-boned wine that's lively and precise, with—as was the case last year—a more mineral profile than the Beaux Bruns that preceded it.

The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Noirots 1er Cru is a small cuvée of just two barrels (two years old). It has a very pixelated bouquet of perfumed red cherry and raspberry preserve aromas laced with rose petals and crushed stone. Saturated tannins render this quite fleshy on the midpalate, though it firms up toward the structured, grippy finish. Very fine.
