Saturated magenta. Mineral-accented red and blue fruits, succulent flowers and exotic spices on the highly complex nose. Juicy and expansive on the palate, offering smoke-tinged red currant, boysenberry and bitter cherry flavors complemented by violet pastille and white pepper notes. The impressively long, mineral-driven finish features polished tannins and resonating red fruit and floral flourishes.

The 2019 Morgon Côte du Py reveals aromas of blackberries, cherries, smoked meats and licorice. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it's charming and enveloping, with a generous core of succulent fruit that's framed by powdery tannins. Less tightly wound than the Javernières, this will drink well out of the gate but also offer considerable longevity.
