The 2018 Peyrabon is fulfilling its promise from barrel. It has a well-defined and focused bouquet of lively blackberry and briary scents, touches of cedar and tobacco coming through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit and a fine lattice of tannins that impress, considering this is a Bordeaux Supérieur with excellent length. Bon vin!

Cru bourgeois supérieur.  49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot.  Expressive dark-fruit nose with a hint of vanilla oak. Palate round, juicy and gourmand. Manages freshness despite a glow of alcohol on the finish. Firm but fine tannins. (JL)

The 2018 Peyrabon has a very agreeable bouquet of blackberry, raspberry and briary aromas, the oak nicely integrated and feeling natural. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and crunchy red fruit tinged with cedar and pine. It is a bit "chunky" on the finish, but I admire the freshness and substance, and the oak is judiciously used. Good winemaking, good wine.
