(bottled in July of 2004) Rather pale medium red. Aromas of plum, currant, minerals, spices and cocoa powder. Supple and sweet, with red berry and spice flavors leading to a cool, somewhat minty/herbal finish. Not fleshy but not dry either. Offers much more flavor intensity than Rouget's Vosne villages

Pale red, with little saturation. Rather pallid, unconvincing aromas of vague red fruits, herbs and spices. Juicy, spicy and moderately intense but distinctly lean, minty and cool. Notes of minerals and spices. Tannins are ripe, but thereÂ’s limited depth to this premier cru. Rouget told me the fermentation temperature did not exceed 19oC.
