A gorgeous wine, and a sleeper of the vintage, Moulin St.-Georges' 1995 exhibits a dense purple color, and a sweet, black raspberry and currant nose intertwined with high quality toasty oak and minerals. Deep, rich, impressively pure, ripe, elegant, and harmonious, this gorgeous, persuasive St.-Emilion has a bright future. Anticipated maturity: 2001-2016. This is an exceptionally well-placed micro-estate owned and managed by Alain Vauthier, the proprietor of Chateau Ausone. Made from 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc, the wine is made from an 18-acre terraced vineyard situated opposite Ausone.
