Apart from the hint of exotic fruit that complements the ripe-pear and discreet vanilla aromas, this is a classic example of Puligny-Montrachet, with the balance of creaminess and elegance we expect from this appellation. The finish is long and delicate. Drink or hold.

Bursting with notes of pear, orange oil, white flowers and toast, the 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Village is medium to full-bodied, charming and enveloping, with succulent acids and a textural, giving profile. It will drink well young.

The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Village shows commendable freshness on a nose that reveals hints of gunflint and wet limestone. The palate is well balanced with quite a pithy opening. Good depth here, and a slightly waxy texture, plus a dab of lemongrass toward the finish. This is very promising and punches above its weight.
