The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Village has a light, quite earthy bouquet, fresh and vibrant. The palate is medium-bodied with quite firm tannins, structured and lightly spiced with a touch of cedar and stewed black tea on the finish. I see no reason not to drink this now.

100% destemmed for all the wines. Barrel sample, racked after malo only. Mid crimson. Wonderfully fragrant and lovely pure fruit. Tannins are fine and chalky and balanced by gentle fruit sweetness. Cool, elegant and long and lightly peppery on the finish. (JH)

The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Village has a slightly rustic but utterly charming bouquet of brambly red fruit and light rose petals scents. The palate is well balanced but lacks a little density on the midpalate. Light black tea notes appear toward the light finish. I was expecting a little more here.
