The 2023 Pinot Noir Bootlegger's Hill is more angular than the other wines in this range, with an unmistakable sense of compactness through the mid-palate that makes it feel very linear and a bit disjointed. New leather, sage, underbrush and tart berry fruit meld together nicely, but the tannins are a bit drying. Maybe I caught this on an odd day, because it's a notable outlier in a range of polished Pinot Noir.
