Really serious and concentrated. I preferred this to the Meursault Perrières! The bit of Caillerets that is almost Chevalier Montrachet and fantastic stuff. GV (JR)

(from limestone-rich soil in the highest part of Morgeot; this 1954 planting yielded just 27 hectoliters per hectare in 2009, according to Dancer) Pale, bright, green-tinged color. Lively, high-pitched aromas of lime, minerals and crushed stone. Then dense, sweet and full, but with brisk lime and powdered stone flavors conveying a strong impression of energy and grip. Tactile but wonderfully light on its feet, and long on the aftertaste. This seems more nerveux than the La Romanee, made from vines located just above it; indeed, Dancer says this parcel has more of a white soil character than the La Romanee. Incidentally, Dancer told me that in the ripe years like 2003, 2005 and 2009, he always likes this cuvee
