Score 90/100 · Drink 2013-2020, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Oct 2009

The 2005 Barolo Bussia Soprana Vigna Mondoca is the softest and most approachable of these 2005 Barolos. Bouquet, fruit and structure are all beautifully balanced in this harmonious, medium-bodied Barolo. The Vigna Mondoca probably won't be a long-term ager, but it looks to be the most complete of the 2005 Barolos and should drink well for another decade or so.
