A blend of 95% Sémillon and 5% Sauvignon Blanc harvested in five tries between September 15 and October 30, the 2007 Suduiraut exhales aromas of Mirabel, apricot and herbs mingled with menthol hints. Moderately weighted and less concentrated than the previous vintages, it’s layered and charming with a juicy core of fruit and a delicate, gastronomic bitterness. Matured for 20 months in oak barrels (35% new and 35% one year), it contains 134 grams per liter of residual sugar.

Intense, complex nose with apricot, honey and spice notes. Really rich on attack but there’s a line of acidity that provides length, harmony and freshness. Lovely texture and stays long on the palate. Will keep. (JL)
The 2007 Suduiraut has a well-defined bouquet with quince, Mirabelle, orange rind and light waxy aromas. The palate is well balanced and viscous in texture with tangy marmalade on the entry, fine depth and a gorgeous tangerine, slightly peppery finish that lingers in the mouth. Excellent. Tasted at the 2007 horizontal in Sauternes.
