Ch. la Clotte

Ch. la Clotte is one of the Vauthier estates – along with Ch. Ausone. Classified as a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, the estate comprises four hectares of 50-year-old vines on terraced vineyards on the famous limestone plateau.

Vines have been planted on this site since the 14th century, but its modern history begins in 2014 when the estate was purchased by the Vauthier family. The wine is made with the same attention to detail as Ch. Ausone and aged in 100% new oak for around 18 months. The wine is generally around 85% Merlot, with the remaining portion of the blend Cabernet Franc.
